are there any programs to help pay for preschool?

Lynn Melbourne: check with the Department of Children's Services in your town, there is a program in our community to help low income parents going to work to pay for preschool and daycare expenses, single moms qualify for the entire amount and recently a scholarship program has been granted to the providers to offer two children per provider whom don't traditionally qualify for the help based on income. The scholarship last for an entire year and is renewable.

Idell Dufort: 1. Head Start is a federally funded preschool program for children from low income families and families under stress. Look in the phone book to see if there is one in your area.2. Some school districts have free or low cost Pre-K. Call the nearest elementary school and ask if it is available in your area.
