Merlin Fleischhacker: Not any good ones. Most of the female vegetarians play rugby with a plastic ball and the males are figure skaters.Actually, I think Rex Grossman is a vegetarian and he's a great QB.
Sammy Hatzenbihler: Well Maby not?
Rosalva Steinmann: They can but it would be hypocritical. The reason be be vegetarian is often due to a protest against the eating of animals due to the way they are treated at farms and slaughterhouses. The animals are not treated alot better when it comes to leather. Wool and silk, however, don't necessarily involve the same 'cruel' treatment of the animals so it wouldn't be as bad. I guess it depends on why someone is a vegetarian.
Torri Tippey: Vegetarian is a diet, not a fashion. However, some try to make it into a fashion statement. If you are doing it a moral statements, you might want to reconsider though. However, I'm not going to call you hypocritical. For example, your fur jacket can be a hand-me-down tha! t would have been trashed. :D
Cletus Makler: If you want everything home made, go to the Cooking Light website. They have impressive, healthy recipes which are very easy to make. They also have drink recipes, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic.
Refugio Gastineau: Just be aware of the dietary restrictions that most doctors recommend for pregnant women. Most doctors prohibit deli meats and cheeses due to listeria contamination, soft cheeses for the same reason, fish except in small quanitities due to mercury concerns. OF course, fresh spinach is now off the table.
Gale Hartt: Well first off, humans are designed to eat meat, the same as all other omnivorous animals and I don't hear anyone complaining about them eating 'poor, defenseless animals', not to mention the fact that all tribal populations survive on a meat diet without anyone verbally lambasting them. The fact is, we need meat for an efficient, available source of essential protein.Research on remain! ing tribal cultures confirms the healthfulness of the traditio! nal hunter-gatherer style diet. High protein, fruit- and vegetable-rich diets (with virtually no other carbs and few unhealthy fats) seem to protect against the so called "diseases of wealth" we've burdened ourselves with in the developed world (heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers, arthritis, etc.)....Show more

Jacinta Moitoso: Yes, vegans can too, but vegans don't want to. most vegetarians don't want to either. Veg*nism is a choice, just becuase the are a Veg*n doesn't mean they CAN'T eat meat, they just think ill of it so they don't, aside from the few people that have a food allergy toward meats ( i.e. shellfish)
Sammy Tabatt: I'm a vegetarian and do not at all advocate any of the things you stated, but I can think of some reasons why people do those! things:A. Eating meat-1. they like the taste-2. it's more convenient -3. they don't know or don't care about the cruelties animals go through in order to provide them with foodB. Wearing leather, fur, etc.-1. It's fashionable-2. It shows they have a lot of money-3. Again, they don't care about endangered species or harming living creatures...Show more

Dick Ovdenk: While I can't give a good reason to eating meat or wearing fur or kil! ling animals for "recreation" I can tell you that there aren't a lot of! good reasons to go vegetarian.First of all probably more suffering goes into making a glass of milk than producing meat.Dairy cows have a terrible life then they're hauled off to be slaughtered.I find that often when people become vegetarian they increase their amount of dairy intake. It's just not something I'm for because I am just as strongly against the dairy industry as I am the meat industry.Eating meat isn't necessarily bad for you and this pleather that we've been making as a leather alternative.... If you're leather free and environmentally conscience, it's something to think about. I think about what I'm going to leave behind when I'm gone. Basically I'd have to know the reasons as to why that person wants to go vegetarian in the first place. Most of the times it would lead to veganism logically. The main thing I can think of as to why they'd be vegetarian and not vegan would be that they just don't like the taste of meat.EDIT: Danny, the chemicals that they use ! to preserve leather and to keep it smooth, are actually really bad for the environment. The only case where that would be true is if we were doing it the way the Natives were doing it, but the leather wouldn't exactly look good, smell food, feel good. But it would go back to the land....Show more

Mauro Cowee: What does killing animals for recreation have to do with it? Just because you like a steak doesn't mean you enjoy punching puppies to death.A good diet takes a little bit of every food group. Why is it always "either, or" with people? It's both. Always both.
Cody Petrulis: no vegetarians are nerds that would get killed in football and they are too busy trying to pork a pig to realize anything else.
Truman Biby: In other words, what are some strong justifications for eating meat, wea! ring leather or fur, or killing animals for recreation?
Donte Ham! me: Comfort, entertainment and convenience. That's about it. The reasons to go vegetarian outnumber the reasons not to by quiiiiiiiiiiiite a few.
Raul Lushbaugh: i believe NO-ONE shud be able to wear fur. it wud be like skinning a human and putting it on an animal for fashion. absolutely tragic. Shame on all those weirdos wearing fur. Let the animal wear it..it looks betta on them anywayz.
Cody Petrulis: Unfortunately there are so many concerns of mine that I don't get the option of not supporting someone just because of one thing I disagree with. For example, I am pro-LGBT and love Ellen, but she also has done ads for Cover Girl, which happens to do animal testing. I like Johnny Weir, and while I disagree with his wearing fur, he brought up an interesting point in defending himself about it - he brought up the leather shoes that all the other skaters wear. We don't pay as much attention to leather as we do to fur, so when people wear sneakers made with it, we a! ren't up in arms. And then there are environmental concerns - is someone buying materials that are bad for the environment to replace the leather and fur clothes they might have been buying? But again, no one is up in arms about that either. Also, Ghandi disowned his gay child, and Oskar Schindler was a womanizer. But these two men did great things, and I can't ignore the greatness just because they did a few things I disagree with. The most I would do is write them a letter explaining what I feel and try to persuade them to stop wearing fur. But at the same time, I believe that if we support and respect someone, we respect the whole person. They have made their choices and so be it if they opt not to agree with me....Show more

Kris Bozelle: Body building and football workout are totally different. Body building low weight/high reps, lots of isolation exercises. To add strength a football player would do higher weight/lower reps, more compound exercises, more emphasis on core muscles, and power lifts like cleans and do plyometrics. The team should have a quality lifting program in place. As far as adding muscle, eat lots of lean protein (egg whites, chicken, tuna, lean beef, fat free co! ttage cheese) with every meal, take a protein shake with juice after your workout. You should eat 1 gram of protein for every pound of desired weight. If your desired weight is 185, eat 185 grams of protein daily. You may need to take a protein shake as a snack during the day as well or before bed even. Addition: Kate is wrong. The average diet has enough protein for the average person. Actually modern diets may have too much protein, but for an athalete that is trying to add muscle mass, you will need to increase your protein and calorie intake. I played college football and have over 17 years experience in weight training. Also, I don't know your body structure, but if you are small boned you may not have the frame for a LB or DB. Shawn Lelis: Eating meat DOES HAVE benefits. There is a reason why so many women don't get pregnant because they don't eat meat. No amou! nt of vitamins and beans and other foods and substitute for meat. But ! it must be eaten occasionally just like any food. It's not healthy to eat only meat and have meat every day but there is nothing that can substitute for it especially when kids need it to grow. It can stunt your growth if you don't eat it. While people will always eat meat, we don't want to put anything to waste. The leather we use comes from animals that were eaten so it's good that we use it. It also lasts longer that cloth and protects better. This new age junk is dumb. They all say it's unhealthy but that's because they don't understand that no one has to eat it ALL the time. Your muscles need everything meat has to offer to grow. Plants can't do it alone. Women especially need meat because we need that natural iron it provides because of the menstrual cycle. Substituting meat iron for iron in a pill doesn't work for every woman and it doesn't work well for women who are trying to get pregnant. If we didn't eat meat, then people would be killing animals beca! use of overpopulation. They don't want that so we need to eat them for ourselves. Also, the people saying they won't eat meat thinks they are higher than God. He put them on the earth for us and they want to tell everyone don't eat it? So they are saying that they know better. If you don't want to eat meat then don't complain when people kill them because they are taking over a certain part of the land....Show more
Alden Soldano: Yes, some vegetarians wear fur or leather. It is a personal choice. However, most vegetarians, like myself, don't eat meat because we don't believe in the cruel methods practiced against animals being turned into dinner and clothing. So, MOST vegetarians don't wear leather or fur, but some do.
Kate Baune: It is fully acceptable to wear fur, leather, silk and wool.
Lashawn Zabarkes: as long as you don't eat it. However if you are being vegetarian for the moral obligation you feel towards the animals then you may be acting hypoc! ritacly : (
Cecil Derenzi: Fur I think is disgusting, regardless! of your dietary position. Most vegetarians I know wear leather becasue it's a 'by-product' of meat. I think it's hypocritical, but I think it's a case of 'out of sight, out of mind' - a piece of meat sitting on your plate is more obvious than a lovely pair of shoes. Silk, I know it's from spiders but I don't know if they have to die for it, so I don't know. I'm vegan, so I don't use anything like that.
Branden Round: i am also a vegetarian but i do it for global preservation. Meaning, producing and shipping meat causes more harm to the environment than eating things that have been grown regionally. people that eat meat do it for the flavor and nutrient that come with it. i think you need to be careful with how you word things because people kill animals for survival. there are plenty of other species in the world that do the same thing. if you are going to get bent out of shape at people for killing animals then, by extension, you would have to hate very species ! in the word that eats other animals for food. its part of the circle of life. i agree that wearing it and things such as that are gross but thats how our ancestors survived....Show more

Loise Mausser: Make a few different types of salads. Or have everyone make there own favorite salads and bring them. People can bring fixings and everyone can make a salad like a salad bar. It's light and easy you can serve nice breads, bread sticks, cheeses, rolls and fruit. Easy clean up and healthy.
Marcelina Schossow: Most vegetarians I've met aren't tough enough to play football.
Rosie Travino: Okay. Some people do kill for the thrill of the hunt and don't use the animal for meat or other purposes other than having the head mounted for a trophy. This doesn't mean the meat and other parts of the animal do not get used. Most people that do that type of hunting do it through ! 'outfitters' that dress out the animal and provide the meat to homeless! shelters, soup kitchens and other ways of feeding the poor and hungry. All the other usable parts are then sold to processors for other products. So, you see, even those that hunt for 'recreation' don't waste a kill. Next, have you been brainwashed into believing that cattle and other animals are killed just for their hides? Most leather comes from cattle that are processed for meat. All the other usable products are then sold for processing into other goods. For products made from the skins of other animals like alligators, ostrich and many others the animals are farmed specifically for this purpose. The meat from these animals are sold to stores and restaurants that serve these products. The skins of these animals are then processed and use to make other goods. Animals are not cuddly and cute creatures you been raised to believe in movies and TV shows. They will kill you if you enter their territory and they perceive you are a threat. Even cattle like those cute talking ! cows in the California milk commercials will run you down and stomp you into the dirt until you are no longer a threat to their safety. Animals are not humans and do not think like humans. If you go swimming in a body of water with alligators they will not care you are vegetarian and will not kill them and eat their tail meat. But, they will kill you, stuff you body in an underwater cave until it gets rotten and tasty, then eat you at their pleasure. As for the fur business. The animals that provide fur like mink, and others, are raised for the purpose of providing fur. These animals are not cute little friends. They are rodents that do a lot of damage in the wild, carry serious diseases that kill other animals and humans and are quite vicious. Until humans learned how to breed and raise these animals they were hunted and killed for their fur. Early humans figured out the fur was keeping the animals warm during the cold weather and put it to use so humans could survive. Toda! y, the breeders of these fur bearing animals have been the people most ! responsible for them being repopulated in the wild. It wasn't the environmental nut jobs that learned how to breed them but the growers for the fur market. The leaders of the environmental movement just sat in their wood paneled office, behind a big wooden desk, wearing tortoise shell rimmed glasses and Italian leather shoes begging for money to save all fur bearing animals. Hunters and fishermen are the people responsible for the recovery of most of the wild animals in this country. High tax rates paid when they buy their equipment went to Fish and Game Dept.'s in State and Federal governments allowing them the money to establish habitats and do other research. Civilian organization did much in the recovery of animals. Ducks Unlimited was not started so you could go to a local lake and watch and feed the ducks and geese. They were started by duck and goose hunters that wanted the duck and goose population increased so they could hunt and eat these animals. Organizations li! ke Bassmasters and other fishing orgs. did more than any environmental org and the government agencies in reestablishing fish populations in the U.S.. They didn't do because they felt sorry for the fish but did it so their would be large populations so fishermen could enjoy catching and eating fish. They also did it for their fishing tournaments so they could catch more large Bass and other fish.As for eating meat. The human brain and the rest of the body needs the fat and protein provided by meat that veggies simply cannot provide. Human development only occurred because early humanoid started eating meat, fat and bone marrow of animals. The fats caused brain growth. If it wasn't for this our families would probably be sitting around naked in a cave eating veggies and flinging crap at each other.Another factor to consider. If vegetarians were really happy eating rabbit food then why to they need to call all their soy based food by meat names? They have Tofurkey (Tofu shape! d like a turkey), soy burgers (like Harvest Burgers), Stew made with To! fu, Chili made with Tofu. How come they have to cook their Tofu so it looks like browned meat? Why do they add other ingredients in the Tofu so it will have a texture like meat? They want their rabbit food to have the look, taste and texture of meat. Is there something wrong with this picture? For the environmental nuts it is not a case of being more healthy. It is a Control issue. If they can fool you into becoming a vegetarian they have control over you and what you eat. Groups like PETA will be telling yo...Show more
