Who do you think is the most successful author?

answers1:*Every* author uses someone else's ideas. That's just how
storytelling works. Of course, some authors are less good at
disguising their copying than others. How do you define "successful?"
Amount of money earned? Number of copies sold? Do you include
languages other than English?
answers2:Me
answers3:properly, have you ever written it yet? What made Tolkien,
Lewis, King, Rowling, and so on. such efficient and stable authors is
they had an unique thought and have been astonishing tale tellers and
writers. you like an unique plot, unique characters, a different
placing, and massive writing skills. you in addition to could want a
stable little bit of success to be the single that is specific
interior the writer's eye and the single that he would be attracted
to. stable success!
answers4:J.K. Rowling in the genre of awesomeness. Haha, I meant
fantasy. But seriously, she is extremely successful. She made 7 books
and earned like a gazillion dollars for each one. Then they made them
into movies and they too sold for like a gazillion dollars. So, she is
the most successful author, she is also the best.(:
answers5:It depends. Not all successful books reach other audiences.
For example: "Harry Potter" appeals to fantasy readers while "Angels
and Demons" appeals to thriller readers. Honestly, both have around
the same publicity but not the same audience.Every genre will have a
successful author, but no author will be successful in ALL of them.~~

answers8:J.K. Rowling.That's not thinking--that's just plain fact.
She is the highest-grossing author ever.
answers9:Okay, what author hasn't borrowed things from other people?
Tolkien borrowed from mythology, J.K. Rowling borrowed things from
various legends, genres, etc.......that's what stories are. Haven't
you ever heard of the archetype theory in "The Hero with Many
Faces"?Anyway, it's hard to say who's the most successful, so I'll
just list a few. 1. J.K. Rowling....I mean, her stuff is a rare
phenomenon. I'd say she's pretty successful for captivating readers
all over the world for TEN + years with her books. It's got to be one
of the most successful franchises out there. You don't have to like
Harry Potter or anything, but there's no denying Rowling is a huge
success.2. Tolkien---his stuff has endured for decades and decades and
still has a wide fan base.3. Stephen King----even though I personally
don't like him, he's a pretty big-name author....Show more
answers10:That is actually an almost impossible question to answer
without clarification. Fiction or non-fiction? What genre? What topic?
And almost EVERYONE borrows elements and ideas of storywriting form
somewhere, whether you notice it or not. Nobody is 100% made up,
because there is always a basis from something popular in their time
or another piece of literature. I'll answer if you'd please clarify
what you're looking for....Show more
answers11:Stephen King!
