My dog acts like it cant breath?

Luis Farlow: Beagles and other breeds of dogs do this thing called "backward sneezing" it sounds like they are gasping for air and can't catch their breath, in most cases it's fine and all you have to do is make them lick their nose somehow and drink some water and it will stop.

Clemmie Burkleo: How old is your dog and which breed is he? Have you taken him to the vet? There are quite a few health problems that can cause this, including the dog being overweight.

Shemeka Laker: my friends dog did the same thing.. it was a staffy and they found out it was heart worm :(
