Why not White History Month?

answers1: eh, I know what you mean. but there's no Adian month, or
Indian, or Middle Eastern, or Native American. you can look up the
history of Black history month, but it's basically a way to make
ammends
answers2: The reason there is a black history month is because black
Americans had to fight their asses off for no reason at all because
the idiotic white majority couldn't get their heads out of their asses
to see that were all humans. So in a way black history month can also
be viewed as humanity month. So why don't you remove your head from
your butt and start looking at the world and respecting all fellow
humans.
answers3: Schools/colleges have change black history to multicultural
month because it easier to show the benefit of all culture. I glad the
schools are going this route because it show appreciate to all races
in US in my opinion. So if you a white history month you will also
need a Hispanic month, an Indian month and so on. There not enough
month for all the races that change or influence the US history.
answers4: Because theres too much history,
answers5: Whites made the world you live in we did not do it for a
recognition we did it to survive
answers6: We take the other 11 months.
answers7: Until the Native American genocide in 1492
(http://www.iearn.org/hgp/aeti/aeti-1997/native-americans.html), they
were the majority. Their population went from some 12 million to less
than 1/4 million.

As more European Americans continued to colonize the US, minorities
continued to suffer from persecution, oppression and horrendous acts
of evil against their basic human rights (specifics are beyond my
length: slavery, Japanese Amer. internment camps, Zoot Suit LA riots
to name a few). Within European Americans, the Irish were
targeted, (the "No Irish Need Apply" signs come to mind), and the
Italians (lynching in New Orleans, being KKK targets, etc).

During special times different peoples celebrate and share their
culture with others. History is important because minorities' suffered
persecution together. And this is part of American history. That's
why aspects of black history month like MLK day are so honored. And
that's why when you see, "The first black _____," it's celebrated
because it's a sign of overcoming political oppression.

So why no white history month? 1. "White" includes way to many
ethnicities. In the US, whites are the majority. There's no Italian
history month in Italy (majority Italians!), but there is here. 2.
History that involved whites is taught year round because they are the
majority. If you will look below, many European American minorities
indeed have their own months:

History and Heritage Months:
Feb. - Black
March - Greek American and Irish American
May - Asian Pacific American, Arab American, and Jewish American
June - Carribean American
Sept. - Hispanic Heritage
October - German-American, Italian-American, Polish-American, Filipino
American
Nov. - Native American
answers8: and yellow month history

and brown history month?

what about the pinks and pale who are not white, black or brown?
answers9: It may make the 12% of the country mad and they would whip the 87%.LOL
answers10: Seriously? if you want it so bad then just proclaim next
month your very own White History Month.
